Summer Lull

We had a quiet summer. It was relaxing, but not too full of adventure. I decided to focus on productive daily routines instead of enlarging outings to new places. We enjoyed the peace, but I am looking forward to some trips soon.

Backyard baby birds hatched

Lilies almost blooming, sweet william and gladiolus had great staying power this year.

My friend was moving and she gave me two lavender bushes. I planted one in a pot and one in ground to compare their transplant recovery.

Still love the black and white combination framed by the oregano.

Bloom opening

I brought them inside, but my kids complained about the pollen, so I cut that part off.

Another gladiolus bloomed.
