New Year

I started training to run a marathon. It’s going well.

The library remodel is finally done, and we’re glad we got to see it before we move.

Thanksgiving Point Butterfly center and fairy houses

 It’s been almost a year since I wrote. This year I tried to eliminate any pet projects in the garden, and only leave what works. We’re moving this summer, and I wasn’t sure what housing would want from the backyard. We traveled to a few places we have had on our list to get to before we move. We got more into biking as well as running since we finally have nicer bikes and everyone can ride them. Here are some pictures.

I love this carrot foliage with the geranium flower colors together. They are electric.

We enjoyed visiting the CIA in Napa. Their kitchen garden was inspiring.

We went to Redding to visit Turtle Bay and the sundial bridge, the botanical garden, and Lake Shasta caverns. We also saw the smallest mountain range on the way there. It was cuter in person; it’s a perfect vista.

I got a Brompton, and we can go on family bike rides now. It’s a wonderful stage of life to be in.

We had to send Raven and Willow back to the guinea pig fostering organizer, because Willow had a couple of growths on her back. It did end up being cancer, and she was put down humanely. Raven is now there bonding with the other guinea pig herd. I hope she finds a lovely home someday soon.
